Our Life and Health Insurance agent Services in Orlando
Cypress Ridge Life & Health Insurance is an independent Orlando insurance agency, which means we are not tied to one brand. We hold appointments with more than 25 life and health carriers, so the recommendation you get is based on your health history, budget, family situation and long-term goals — not on a sales quota. Whether you are a young family in Hunter's Creek buying your first term policy, a self-employed photographer in Winter Park who needs Marketplace coverage, or a 67-year-old in Altamonte Springs comparing Medicare Advantage and Medigap, the same licensed agent handles both your life and health needs. Every quote, needs analysis and annual review is free to you; we are paid by the carriers, never by the client.
Level term coverage commonly runs about $18–$25 per month for a healthy 35-year-old at $250,000 — always a quote-based estimate after a short health and budget review. Ideal for protecting a mortgage, replacing income, or covering the years until your kids finish school. No-medical-exam options available for qualified applicants ages 0–85.
Permanent coverage that never expires and builds tax-deferred cash value you can borrow against. We place 25+ carrier illustrations side by side so you can see both the guaranteed columns and the non-guaranteed projections. Popular with Orlando small-business owners and families building a legacy or funding a special-needs plan.
Simplified-issue policies typically range $35–$90 per month for ages 45–85, with no medical exam and same-week approval in most cases. Coverage of $5,000–$40,000 pays funeral, cremation and outstanding bills so your family never has to start a fundraising page. Free needs analysis at your kitchen table or by phone.
Certified through HealthCare.gov (FFM) for the 2026 plan year. We calculate premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions in real numbers — many Central Florida households land between $0 and $50 per month. Enrollment, subsidy appeals, income-change updates and plan switches are handled at zero cost to you.
Our Medicare-writing agents are AHIP certified plus Fraud, Waste & Abuse certified every year. We compare Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO plans, Medigap Plan G options and standalone Part D drug plans — and we verify your doctors and prescriptions are actually covered before you enroll. Extended hours during Oct 15 – Dec 7 enrollment.
Group health, dental, vision, disability income and hospital indemnity plans for Orlando-area employers, plus key-person and buy-sell life coverage for owners. Business owners with 2–50 employees receive a complimentary benefits benchmark report comparing their current group plan against three real alternatives, side by side.

Why Cypress Ridge
Why Cypress Ridge Life & Health Insurance is Orlando's Trusted Independent Agency
Independent matters. A captive agent can only sell one company's products; we can move you to a better carrier when your rates change, when a new health condition appears, or when your children age off your policy. In 14 years of writing policies across Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk and Brevard counties, our team has completed more than 5,000 life and health cases and continues to service every one of them with an annual review.
Local Expertise Since 2011
We have served the Orlando community for over 14 years from our office at 1214 E. Robinson Street, Suite 210 — walking distance from downtown. That means we know how Orlando Health, AdventHealth and Orlando Health Physician Associates networks differ, which carriers are competitive in Florida ZIP codes 32801 through 32839, and how a Celebration snowbird's Medicare needs differ from a Kissimmee family's Marketplace subsidy.
Fast Response Times
Our client-service coordinators answer live during business hours and our commitment is that every call and email is answered within one business day — in practice, most quote requests come back the same afternoon. After-hours voicemails are returned the next business day, and urgent Medicare enrollment questions during Annual Enrollment are prioritized the same day.

Transparent Pricing
There is no fee for consultations, quotes, needs analyses, applications or annual reviews. No broker fees, no mark-up on premiums, no monthly service charges. Life term policies commonly start near $18–$25 per month, final expense policies usually run $35–$90 per month, and ACA Marketplace plans may be $0–$50 per month after premium tax credits for many Central Florida households. Quotes are estimates, always confirmed in writing.
Guaranteed Satisfaction
Our zero-pressure guarantee means you are never obligated to buy during a consultation. Our 30-day policy review guarantee means that if a new policy is not the right fit, we re-shop it at no cost. Every Florida free-look period is honored in full, typically 10–30 days depending on product, with a complete refund of premium.

Our Process
How Our Life and Health Insurance agent Process Works
Most clients finish the entire process in two to four business days — and for no-medical-exam life products, sometimes in a single afternoon. Here is exactly what happens from first call to first-year check-in.
1
Contact Us
Call +1-540-352-6249 or submit the form and a licensed Orlando agent — not a call center — responds. We confirm your ZIP code, household size and whether you want life, health or both.
2
Free Assessment
We run a 20–30 minute needs analysis covering income replacement, mortgage balance, medical history, prescriptions, doctors you want to keep, and target monthly budget. We also model your ACA subsidy or Medicare drug costs for free.
3
Custom Solution
You receive two to four side-by-side options with real premiums, coverage amounts and carrier ratings — not a single take-it-or-leave-it price. No decision has to be made on the first call, and there is no pressure to purchase.
4
Enroll & Annual Review
We complete the application, order any required exam, follow underwriting to approval and deliver your policy documents. Then every year we re-shop your coverage at no charge and help file claims personally if the need ever arises.

What Coverage Typically Costs in Orlando in 2026

★★★★★
"We were paying $612 a month for a family of four on a Marketplace plan. Cypress Ridge recalculated our premium tax credit, moved us to a silver plan with cost-sharing reductions, and our new premium came in at $104 a month — a savings of just over $6,000 a year. Marisol handled the enrollment on a Tuesday and our coverage was active the first of the next month."
Marisol R. Winter Park, FL · Review dated February 2026
★★★★★
"My mother is 78 and I needed burial coverage fast. The agent came to our home in Kissimmee on a Thursday evening, explained the difference between the $35 and $58 options without any pressure, and she was approved Friday morning — no medical exam. $58 a month for $15,000. I have already referred two neighbors."
Darrell T. Kissimmee, FL · Review dated January 2026
★★★★★
"We are both self-employed, so no group benefits. Marcus wrote $750,000 of combined 20-year term for us at $64 a month total, and reviewed it line by line at our dining room table in Dr. Phillips. It took one evening appointment. He also flagged that our old policy had a rider we were paying for but could not use."
Priya & Anand S. Dr. Phillips, Orlando · Review dated December 2025
★★★★★
"I turned 65 in October and was completely overwhelmed. Their AHIP-certified agent checked my cardiologist and all six prescriptions against three plans, and I ended up with a Medicare Advantage plan that cut my drug costs by $946 a year versus my old retiree coverage. I called on a Monday and had a decision by Wednesday."

Frequently Asked Questions About Life and Health Insurance agent in Orlando
These are the questions our Orlando agents answer every week. If yours is not here, call +1-540-352-6249 — a licensed agent, not a script reader, will pick up.
How much does it cost to use a Life and Health Insurance agent in Orlando?
Nothing. There is no fee for consultations, quotes, needs analyses, applications or annual reviews. We are paid commissions directly by the insurance carriers, and there is no mark-up on your premium, no broker fee and no monthly service charge. You pay the same carrier rate whether you work with us or apply directly.
How fast can I get a quote or an appointment?
Most quote requests are returned the same business day, and our commitment is a response within one business day. Same-week appointments are usually available, including evening appointments Monday through Thursday until 8:00 PM and in-home visits. No-medical-exam life policies can be approved in as little as 24–48 hours.
Do I need a medical exam to get life insurance?
Not always. We place no-medical-exam and simplified-issue products for applicants from ages 0 to 85. Fully underwritten policies may require a paramedical exam and typically offer the lowest rates for healthy applicants. During your free analysis we will show you both paths side by side with real premiums so you can decide.
What is the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medigap?
Medicare Advantage (HMO/PPO) replaces Original Medicare with a network-based plan that often has a $0 monthly premium but carries copays and prior authorizations. Medigap supplements Original Medicare, letting you see any provider nationwide who accepts Medicare, usually for a higher monthly premium. We compare both, plus Part D drug plans, and verify your doctors and prescriptions first.
Can you help if I already have coverage from another agency?
Yes — that is one of our most requested services. We offer a free 15-minute policy review and will tell you honestly whether you are overpaying or underinsured. If your current policy is competitive, we will say so. If not, we re-shop it across 25+ carriers at no cost and you decide whether to switch.
Are your agents licensed and how are they certified?
Every agent holds a Florida Department of Financial Services Life & Health license (agency license #W284917). Our Medicare-writing agents are AHIP certified and Fraud, Waste & Abuse certified annually, and we are ACA Marketplace certified through HealthCare.gov for each plan year. The agency is bonded with errors-and-omissions coverage.
I'm self-employed or a gig worker in Orlando — what are my options?
You have three realistic paths: an ACA Marketplace plan with premium tax credits (often $0–$50 per month for Central Florida households), a short-term medical policy if you need a bridge, or a private small-group plan if you have at least one W-2 employee. We run your subsidy numbers before recommending anything, at no charge.
Do you offer bilingual appointments in Orlando?
Yes. Our staff is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and bilingual agents are available for in-home, office and virtual appointments. We also host financial literacy workshops through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and Turning-65 Medicare workshops twice monthly at our East Orlando and Kissimmee locations.
What happens if I need to file a claim?
Your assigned agent personally assists with the claim — you are not routed to a 1-800 call center. We help gather the death certificate or medical documentation, submit to the carrier, follow up until the claim is paid, and can coordinate with beneficiaries who live out of state. Claims help is included at no charge for the life of your policy.
What is a free-look period and does it apply to me?
Yes. Florida law gives you a free-look period on every policy — typically 10 to 30 days depending on the product — during which you can cancel for a full refund of premium. In addition, our own 30-day policy review guarantee means that if a new policy is not the right fit, we will re-shop it at no cost to you.
When is Medicare Annual Enrollment, and can you help outside of it?
Medicare Annual Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7 each year; we extend hours to Monday–Saturday 8:00 AM–8:00 PM plus Sunday 12:00–5:00 PM during that window. Outside enrollment you can still change plans for qualifying life events, and we handle year-round Part D reviews and Medigap applications.
Do you serve clients outside Orlando or outside Central Florida?
In person, we serve Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk and Brevard counties — including Winter Park, Kissimmee, Sanford, Clermont, Oviedo, Celebration and Melbourne. Statewide, we meet by Zoom or phone. We are licensed in Florida only, so we cannot write policies for other states.
Is there any pressure to buy on the first call?
None. Our zero-pressure guarantee means no obligation to purchase during any consultation. You can take the quotes, think about it, talk it over with family and come back. Many clients call us in January and enroll in March — that is completely fine with us.
